James Hay parent IFG revamps group leadership team

James Hay parent group IFG has made a number of changes to its leadership team following "its successful exit from its non-UK operations to focus on the attractive and growing UK wealth management and intermediary platform markets".

Group chief executive John Cotter has stepped down from his role with non-executive director and chair of the group's risk committee Kathryn Purves taking over. The group said she has more than 20 years' experience of senior leadership experience in financial services at the likes of Partnership Assurance, Deutsche Bank and UBS. Gavin Howard, who has experience at Octopus Group, Just Group and Barclays, has been made interim group CFO and replaces Mark Dearsley, who has become group chairman.
