Foresight launches smart meter bond fund

Between 4.07% and 4.83% annual interest

Foresight, the independent infrastructure and private equity investment manager, has launched the first part of its smart bonds fund investing in smart meters.

The fund offers investments in bonds backed by long-term rental agreements with UK energy suppliers. Essentially, it generates returns by lending to companies that own, operate and rent installed smart meters to UK energy suppliers. Foresight has launched Tranche A of the smart bond fund range, with further tranches to be launched in due course. Investors can invest in the fund over one-, two- or three-year fixed terms receiving between 4.07% and 4.83% interest per annum, depending on the term chosen.
