In the UK, fewer adults than ever are confident about their retirement prospects. Just a quarter (26%) of those aged 18 and over believe they will have enough money to live comfortably for the rest of their lives, according to findings from our 2025 Retirement Confidence Report, down from 34% in 2024. A growing lack of confidence is a consistent trend, regardless of gender or age group surveyed. Our overall Retirement Confidence Index score stood at 4.2 in 2025, down from 4.6 in 2024.
