How did you get into asset management? I studied history at university and planned to be a barrister, but once I started the training I realised I really didn't find law interesting. I joined Schroders as a fund manager's assistant in 1998 and quickly developed an interest in investment management and, in particular, socially responsible investment. It was also at the time of the TMT boom which was fascinating. What stayed with me was the incredibly important role asset management plays and the obligations its actors carry on their shoulders to deliver to their clients. I then moved on...
