A letter to the editor of  The Times earlier this month (Tuesday 21 March) hits the nail on the head. Mr Roberts, from Cheshire, believes that "personal pension rules have been bedevilled by changes for many years, included by those made by the same governing party".  He adds: "What is needed is an easily understandable system that is not likely to change, otherwise why should anyone put money into a pension when the outcome can be changed by the whim of the latest government."
