The issue of investors being charged management fees for funds they can't access or trade has reared its head again with the latest fund suspensions as a result of the Russia/Ukraine crisis. The market turmoil and restrictions on UK investors trading in Russian markets mean that a number of funds have been forced to close to investors. The Liontrust Russia fund, for example, took the decision to close the fund to withdrawals around four days after the Ukrainian invasion began.
