When it comes to replacing high-profile managers, writes John Husselbee, in recent years fund groups have been proving themselves more adept than football clubs

Any Arsenal fans who invest in the Axa Framlington UK Select Opportunities fund have recently suffered a double blow, with two longstanding managers announcing plans to move on. Arsene Wenger and Nigel Thomas are both set to give up long-term positions and, while Chris St John has long been identified as the latter's replacement, it was only in late May that Unai Emery was lined up to take the former's place at the Emirates.
