I have always had an immense amount of respect for Hargreaves Lansdown (HL) and its senior management, writes Ian Lowes. In truth, who wouldn't? On the subject of structured products, however, we continue to be poles apart. I fundamentally disagree with Danny Cox's perspective, which featured in Professional Adviser's coverage of the publication of our 2016 Structured Product Annual Performance Review to the extent that, as a fellow Chartered Financial Planner with decades of experience of assessing all types of investments, including structured products, it baffles me.
