Nutmeg sells itself on simplicity and low cost. But for a novice doing something as simple as buying an ISA, that is not exactly how it works, says PA's Armchair Critic Brendan Llewellyn

Earlier today my son bought his first ISA, a touching moment in many ways. He chose Nutmeg and as he went through the online process I offered a range of advice, guidance, information, counselling and therapy - all non regulated of course. Eavesdropping on his Nutmeg shopping experience, I found it largely satisfactory though with a few imperfections. They realise that online retail FS has to be very different from normal online.
