The European ETF industry has come a long way since the first products were released in April 10 years ago. The last decade has seen ETFs evolve, from tracking the core Eurostoxx 50 and FTSE 100 indices to providing hedge fund and frontier market exposure.
Not only has this seminal product developed to provide access to regions and asset classes that are otherwise difficult or impossible to tap for many investors, but the client-base has expanded from its institutional roots to reach into the retail arena.
