Variable annuities have been available in the UK for little over two years and the signs are that they are growing in popularity.
Watson Wyatt have been tracking the market and their figures show that in 2008 pension related VA sales passed the £1billion mark. Early indications for 2009 suggest that this trend will continue, even despite the market volatility and dark recession that are the economic back-drop to the last twelve months.
