Crude but effective

"A crude approach" and "blunt instrument" were just two of the verdicts delivered on Legal & General's recent pilot study on postcode annuities. The argument is that such a broad brush approach cannot take full account of the diversity of people living in any one area and that more notice needs to be taken of the lifestyle factors affecting why some people live longer than others.
