After turgid Tuesday we had a wonderful Wednesday night of Premiership football with Arsenal stumbling to another defeat, and Chelsea and Man United carrying on their merry ways.
At least the race for the Premiership race goes on until at least Christmas this year – well, not for Arsenal. The ‘transition’ phase for Arsenal is going to go on longer than many fans might have wanted, but I suspect Wenger is canny enough to realise it will take at least two seasons more. And they might have to it without Thierry Henry. Anyone who has watched Arsenal this season will see Henry is not the player he was last season, and there are signs for me his love affair with the Gunners maybe coming to an end. He has that moody, impatient look of a great player who is getting tired...
