SJP business sale scheme enhancement not linked to recent adviser departures

Improvements on existing process rather than overhaul

St James’s Place has enhanced its Business Sale and Purchase (BSP) scheme, which allows advisers within the network to buy and sell financial advice businesses.

First reported in the Financial Times, the changes include improvements intended to increase the speed and visibility of information available to buyers and sellers in the BSP market. An SJP spokesperson told PA: "BSP at SJP is the largest market for financial advice businesses in the UK, where all of the value created flows directly between sellers and buyers.
