Octopus Group co-founder Chris Hulatt has been awarded a CBE for services to entrepreneurship.
Hulatt was named in the King's Birthday Honours List 2026, which marks extraordinary contributions and service of people across the UK. Hulatt, educated at the University of Cambridge, co-founded Octopus Group with group CEO Simon Rogerson in 2000. As of 2026, he works to build relationships between Octopus Group and institutional investors around the world. He also spends time meeting UK business leaders and stakeholders including MPs and government ministers to champion British entrepreneurialism and promote policy ideas.
