Octopus Legacy legal arm adds private client team

Octopus Legacy’s legal arm, Octopus Legal Services, has acquired NewLaw Solicitors’ private client team.

The deal sees Octopus Legal Services grow its live probate and estate administration caseload by 348%, according to the business. Octopus Legal Services' headcount has increased by around a third as a result of the deal, with more than 50 lawyers and legal specialists joining. Octopus Legacy is looking to its artificial intelligence platform to "fix parts of the system that slow everything down", it outlined.
