WBR group buys financial planning firm's SSAS book

Part of long-term growth strategy

WBR Group has acquired the small self-administered scheme (SSAS) book of business operated by Manchester-based financial planning firm Carpenter Rees.

The deal, completed at the end of April, is part of WBR's long-term expansion plans, which have seen the business grow both organically and through acquisitions over the past decade. Carpenter Rees' SSAS client base will transition to WBR Group's dedicated account‑manager model, "ensuring continuity of service alongside access to enhanced technical resources and broader professional support," the firm said.
