8AM Global has launched a capital-protected model portfolio for advisers in partnership with structured product specialist IDAD.

The model portfolio service (MPS) specialist said the offering, which launched to the market today (17 February), is the first of its kind in the UK. It said AQ Protected (AQP) is a capital-protected investment solution that combines the growth potential of an actively managed portfolio with 100% capital protection. The business said the strategy would suit clients approaching retirement who wanted to protect accumulated gains, retirees managing sequencing risk in drawdown, and trustees or fiduciaries with capital preservation duties.
