Individual annuities saw 17% growth in 2025

Financial services provider Canada Life UK's international wealth division achieved sales growth of 42% year-on year, its 2025 full year results show.

The provider saw its total sales growth up 17% year-on-year to £5.2bn, which it said was driven by "record sales" in its international wealth and retirement business. Canada Life's international wealth arm recorded sales growth of 42% year-on year, "driven by strong customer demand for international products and changes to the UK tax landscape," it set out. In its retirement services, individual annuities saw 17% growth, which Canada Life attributed to customers and advisers increasingly incorporating annuities into wealth planning strategies.  Canada Life said that protection sale...
