Advisers remain sceptical about the pensions dashboard project and fear it will not be a success when it is finally implemented, PA Asks data suggests, however, former pensions minister Steve Webb has warned against underestimating the project’s impact.
Results from the latest weekly survey found that out of 50 responses, just 2% thought the long-awaited dashboard project, which has been a decade in the making, would be worth the wait. Some 45% said the dashboard would not be worth waiting for, and the rest, 53%, were unsure. The project was first announced in the 2016 Budget and has been plagued by delays and cancellation rumours. However, it appears to be in the home straight and the legal deadline for connection to the dashboard is 31 October next year.
