Increased cost of living crisis has sparked demand for support

There has been a rise in the number of consumers seeking third-party support for their financial decisions, research by Standard Life shows.

The firm's 2022 Retirement Voice report surveyed 6,000 adults in the UK in September and October last year finding 83% sought the help of financial advisers last year. That was compared to 73% in 2021. The most popular topics for those seeking financial help was information about how much their pension would pay them in retirement (47%), how much their pension pot was worth (46%), and whether they were paying enough into their pension (32%).
