IA complains to BBC about Panorama's Woodford investigation

The Investment Association (IA) sent a letter of complaint to the BBC regarding its Panorama investigation into the Neil Woodford scandal.

The 30-minute programme, which aired on Monday 21 October, attempted to delve into the liquidity crisis and subsequent suspension of the LF Woodford Equity Income fund.   BBC aired the show following the announcement the fund would be wound up and after Woodford announced he would close his business, Woodford Investment Management. The programme also claimed the scalp of Mark Denning, who helped to run $300bn of client money for US giant Capital Group.
