Professional Adviser's protection detective Kevin Carr delivers his verdict on five key developments in the protection space from the last month or so

3 Feet High and Rising Leading reinsurers Gen Re and Swiss Re have both confirmed ongoing growth in the UK protection market. Gen Re's Protection Pulse report says the UK protection market has shown growth across all metrics in 2017, with total new business up 10.1% on the previous year and income protection up 8.1%. The report also showed the independent advice channel grew 5.7% to £407m over the same period.
