Schroders hands UK Alpha Plus fund to Janus Henderson hires 

Matthews to focus on UK Growth trust

Schroders has appointed incoming managers Bill Casey and Nick Kissack, who join from Janus Henderson on 5 February, to replace Philip Matthews as co-managers of the flagship UK Alpha Plus fund.

      The duo will take over the £983m fund from current manager Philip Matthews on 1 March, subject to FCA approval, following a transition period during which they will work alongside the current manager. They were previously senior analysts at Janus Henderson, working closely with director of European equities John Bennett. From March, Matthews will focus solely on managing the closed- ended Schroder UK Growth fund, which he has run since October 2014.
