Montanaro hires from Columbia Threadneedle as it targets IFA market

Montanaro Asset Management has hired Chris Crier from Columbia Threadneedle as it makes a push for the UK advisory market and launches a new fund.

Crier was formerly business development manager at Columbia Threadneedle from October 2015 to November 2017. Prior to this, he worked at Goldman Sachs and Neuberger Berman.  At Montanaro, he will be responsible for targeting the UK advisory market, which is a new market for the formerly institutional-facing business.  He will initially be focusing on marketing the firm's £250m UK Income and £156m European Income funds that are managed by Charles Montanaro and George Cooke respectively.  Crier will also be marketing the Better World fund, a positive impact fund focusing on global mi...
