"Please can we talk about literally anything else apart from platforms?" begged the chairman of the improbably-sized investment company Prandeamus Asset Management when I visited him last week.

"Fair enough," I said. "I've certainly had my fill of the subject this week - from the publication of the terms of reference of the FCA's market study on Monday morning to the start of PA's own splendid survey of the various re-platformers.
