Schroders promoted Johanna Kyrklund to the role of global head of multi-asset investments, as it restructured its multi-asset and portfolio solutions teams following the departure of Nico Marais.

Marais, head of Schroders' multi-asset investments and portfolio solutions teams, joined the firm in March 2011 and ran around £81bn across the two teams. Schroders said his role will not be replaced - saying it has decided instead to create two distinct investment teams from its existing multi-asset investments and portfolio solutions business in a bid to realise the growth potential of these individual areas.
