Anne Torry moves from Zurich's public sector insurance arm

Zurich UK Life has appointed Anne Torry as head of business, replacing Gary Shaughnessy who left in January.

In her new role, Terry will also be chief executive of Zurich Assurance and Sterling Investment Managers. She will transfer from her role as managing director of the public sector insurance arm of Zurich's general insurance business (UKGI), in which she has worked for five years. She will take over from Jim Sykes, who has been interim chief executive of Zurich UK Life since Shaughnessy left in January to become chief executive of the company's Global Life division.  Torry will begin the new role on 1 July and will be based in Swindon.
