This summer's EU referendum might spark the sort of market volatility that frightens investors of all profiles, according to Fidelity International. Here the firm's investment director, Tom Stevenson, provides five tips for advisers and clients hoping to weather the storm....

The 'keep calm and carry on' meme is still adorning mugs, notepads and tea towels almost a decade after it was resurrected. And, tired as we may be of it, it could prove to be a sound maxim for investors worried about the outcome of the EU referendum this summer, according to Fidelity. The company says: "No-one knows what either outcome will mean for individual stocks or sectors. Leave and the markets could slump, stay in and we could see a relief rally.
