'Some pensions knowledge helpful': Guidance guarantee recruitment drive begins

The Pensions Advisory Service (TPAS) and Citizens Advice have released job specs for people looking to provide pensions 'guidance' - with each organisation requesting different levels of desired pensions knowledge.

TPAS' job spec states ideal candidates "must have experience of working in or with pensions, understanding a range of different pension types and be up to date on legislation" and would ideally be working towards an industry qualification. The salary at TPAS is listed as about £30,000 dependent on experience. This compares to a Citizens Advice listing on the Pensions World job site, which stated "some pensions knowledge would be an advantage" for ‘pension guidance guarantee agents'.
