Former Lloyds finance boss joins Alliance Trust board

Gregor Stewart, a former FD of Lloyds Banking Group's insurance division, has joined Alliance Trust as a non-executive director.

Stewart, currently a professional adviser to international financial services groups, will begin his new role on 1 December. Between 2009 and 2012 he acted as finance director for the insurance division of Lloyds Banking Group. He was previosuly a partner in Ernst & Young's financial services practice for nearly a decade. Karin Forseke, chair of Alliance Trust, said: "[Stewart's] extensive experience working with companies in the financial services industry, both in the UK and overseas, will be invaluable to us."
