Julie Dean to exit Schroders

Schroders has announced lead portfolio manager Julie Dean is leaving the company.

Management of the Schroders UK Opportunities fund and the Luxembourg-domiciled Schroder ISF UK Opportunities fund will be handed to Matt Hudson. Dean joined Schroders as part of the takeover of Cazenove Capital in July last year. In her previous role, she managed the Cazenove UK Equity and UK Dynamic funds, as well as the UK Equity Absolute Return fund. Since moving over to Schroders, she has been lead manager on the UK Opportunities fund and the Schroder UK Growth trust following Richard Buxton's departure to Old Mutual.
