Ros Altmann named CBE in Queen's Birthday Honours

Pensions campaigner Ros Altmann has been named CBE in the 2014 Queen's Birthday Honours, and there was also recognition for Bank of England deputy governor Charlie Bean and consumer champion Martin Lewis.

Altmann, who has been a the forefront of several campaigns fighting for pensioners' rights, was recognised for services to pensioners and pension provision. She has been particularly vocal on the role of annuities in retirement, and welcomed the Chancellor's far-reaching proposals for the market outlined at Budget 2014. Meanwhile, Bank of England deputy governor Bean and Money Saving Expert founder Lewis have also been recognised in the Queen's Birthday Honours.
