TPAS mulls launch of video service to help meet 'guidance guarantee'

The Pensions Advisory Service (TPAS) is considering the launch of video and Skype services to meet public demand for the government's financial ‘guidance guarantee'.

Chief executive Michelle Cracknell (pictured) welcomed the at-retirement flexibility outlined by Chancellor George Osborne in the Budget 2014 and said the organisation would broaden its services to manage a surge in enquiries. She said: "We are already dealing with at-retirement queries through our helpline. We have approximately 80,000 customers per year asking questions through multiple delivery channels: telephone, web chat, online or written queries.
