SLI's credit head Sutherland to retire

Standard Life Investments' head of credit Andrew Sutherland is to retire from the group after a 30-year career.

Sutherland, who oversees a range of portfolios, will be replaced by colleague Craig MacDonald, who is currently the head of investment grade credit. MacDonald is also experienced, having worked at SLI since 2002 when he joined as an investment director. Both managers oversee a broad range of credit portfolios. Sutherland, who started his career as a a credit analyst, will exit the group in July, the company said.
