IMA names Daniel Godfrey as Saunders successor

The Investment Management Association (IMA) has appointed the former director general of the AIC Daniel Godfrey to replace Richard Saunders as its chief executive.

Saunders (pictured) will step down at the end of the year officially, but Godfrey will become the new chief executive on 1 December. Godfrey spent 11 years as director general of the Association of Investment Companies (AIC). He was also chairman of the Personal Finance Education Group (pfeg) from 1999 - 2003 and a member of HM Treasury's Financial Services Forum from 2006 to 2010.
