Dubai warns of email consumer scam

Dubai's Financial Services Authority DFSA) has warned both the financial services industry and its consumer client-base of a current fraudulent email scam coming from this email address, [email protected]

The email claims to represent the governor of the Emirate's International Finance Centre (DIFC), HE Abdullah Mohammed Saleh, as it offers a chance to "share" in a backlog of Excess Maximum Return Capital Profits (EMRCP) to those seeking finance. The DFSA says there the false claims in the email include an invitation to "participate as a broker/agent" to a "DIFC individualised equity investment portfolio management programme".
