Old Mutual Asset Managers appoints head of advisory distribution

Old Mutual Asset Managers has appointed Steven Brown, formerly of RBS Global Banking & Markets, as head of advisory distribution.

Brown, who starts work on June 1 reporting to head of wholesale distribution Simon Smith, will have prime responsibility for strategic partnerships in the UK wholesale market. Previously, he worked for M&G and Principal Global Investors. "This is a critical role and we are genuinely excited to have someone of Steven's calibre to take it on," said Simon Smith. "With the impending arrival of the RDR, Steven's appointment is a clear demonstration of Old Mutual's commitment to the UK wholesale market."
