Trail commission: when it can and can't be paid

The FSA today confirmed its policy and guidance on when trail commission will be paid after the implementation of the retail distribution review.

Although the regulator has stuck to its guns on its policy, it has cleared up some areas to help advisers and providers work out when they can keep taking trail commission, including with fund switches.
