Pioneer fund adopts 'go-anywhere' approach

Pioneer Investments has launched a Luxembourg-domiciled multi asset fund to hedge inflation. The fund aims to gain exposure to a broad spectrum of traditional financial securities and real assets through closed end funds, rather than single asset classes.

The Pioneer Funds – Multi Asset Real Return Fund offers exposure to best-in-class high conviction bets, whilst aiming to protect against market volatility. The fund's ability to take smaller positions across low correlated asset classes will be used to hedge exposure. The fund is a mirror of Pioneer's US domiciled fund and will be managed by the same team headed up by lead portfolio manager, Michele Garau, together with Kenneth Taubes, Head of Investment Management US, and Howard Weiss, Associate Portfolio Manager.
