Lack of flexibility in employee benefits hampering suitability - Canada Life

Employees changing needs are not being met by company benefit packages, according to Canada Life Group Insurance.

While 41% of employees would like the opportunity to customise their own benefits package, only 12% helped to build their own benefits package and just 3% have the flexibility to exchange their existing benefits. Women in particular value flexibility in their employee benefits package, this being highlighted by 45% compared to 36% of men (across all age ranges). Yet they are less likely to receive any benefits at all from their employer (56% of women compared with 46% of men have no employer sponsored provision).
