Intelligent Pensions (IP) has launched a phased annuity service in a bid to help clients mitigate the risks of staying too long in drawdown.
The service involves using a combination of conventional and asset-backed annuities to provide a phased transition from drawdown to annuitisation, Andrew Pennie, marketing director at IP said. The service is only available through advisers, and introducing IFAs will be paid for the ongoing client services needed.
