Jersey strengthens ties with Israel

Jersey's finance industry has made its first formal visit to Israel.

The touring team was headed up by Geoff Cook, Chief Executive of Jersey Finance, and included both HSBC and Barclays who held meetings with leading Israeli law firms. A round table discussion, hosted by Moore Stephens, included representatives from Israel’s financial services industry. Mr Cook said on his return, “This was a first class opportunity to explore the potential to attract more financial business to our shores and fits with our strategy of developing awareness of Jersey’s finance industry in new and emerging markets.
