Silver losses short-lived in ETCs

ETCs investing in silver have rebounded after the precious metal opened 10% higher on the London Fix yesterday morning.

Deutsche Bank's db Physical Silver ETC and ETFS Physical Silver were up 1.54% and 1.48% respectively on Monday, according to London Stock Exchange figures. However, the rebound and the underlying recovery in the silver price has only recouped a margin of last week's losses, when silver plummeted 30%. iShares Silver Trust holdings also declined over 750 tonnes, but is part of a revival being seen across commodities.
