Deutsche Bank suspends agriculture ETN

Deutsche Bank has stopped new issuance of its PowerShares DB Agriculture Double Long exchange-traded note (ETN).

Investors already holding the ETN are still able to make daily repurchases, but the product is not being offered to new investors. The company has not given a reason for its actions, but has warned that the suspension may cause an imbalance in secondary market supply and demand - where the note is still available to be bought. This discrepancy could cause the ETN to trade at a significant premium, or discount, relative to its indicative value.
