db X-trackers offers short play on emerging markets

Deutsche Bank has unveiled its db x-trackers MSCI Emerging Market Short Daily Index ETF on the London Stock Exchange.

Designed for active, short-term traders, the fund gives investors systematic daily inverse exposure to the performance of emerging markets. A new addition to db X-trackers' suite of daily short ETFs, the company says its latest ETF is the first of its kind in Europe. The launch comes after a year of heavy and sustained interest in emerging market ETFs and allows investors to generate a positive return even when these markets are experiencing a dip.
