Scots pensioner, 86, takes fight to Donald Trump

A Scottish pensioner facing £50,000 legal costs after attempting to stop Donald Trump building a golf course on her land is taking her case to the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR).

Molly Forbes, 86, of Balmedie, attempted to take the property tycoon and Aberdeenshire Council to court to stop him evicting her from her home and building a £750m gold course on the land. She was refused legal aid and had to withdraw the challenge, the Press and Journal reports. Trump's plans were given the go-ahead earlier this year, leaving Forbes with a £50,000 legal bill to pay to Trump.
