State Street appoints Asia Pacific ETF head

State Street Global Advisors (SSgA) has named Frank Henze head of its SPDR ETF business in Asia Pacific.

The newly-created role will see Henze based in Hong Kong managing SSgA's regional ETF expansion, focusing on the size and visibility of the SPDR range. SSgA introduced ETFs to the Asia Pacific region in 1999 with the launch of its Tracker Fund of Hong Kong. The company now has 12 ETFs listed across Hong Kong, Australia, Japan and Singapore, including two product launches earlier this year.
