Schwab ETF assets exceed $100bn

ETF assets held by individual investors and independent adviser clients at Charles Schwab are now in excess of $100bn.

Schwab attributes the growth partly to the early success of its own ETF products. The first Charles Schwab Investment Management (CSIM) Schwab ETFs were unveiled just over a year ago and now hold over $2bn in assets under management. Schwab Managed Portfolios ETFs (SMP-ETFs) meanwhile have garnered $1.7bn since their launch in January. Schwab ETFs can be traded online with no commission through a Schwab account, are marginable immediately at the firm and have no required minimum holding period.
