First "multi-market" ETF launches simultaneously in Athens and Istanbul

Finansbank has unveiled the first ETF to invest in two markets concurrently. The GT-30 fund holds 30 stocks, divided equally between the Athens Stock Exchange and the Istanbul Stock Exchange.

ISE chief Hüseyin Erkan said in his speech at the launch ceremony that the fund had been designed as two different ETFs that could be traded on both exchanges. It will give investors an opportunity to invest efficiently in both Turkish and Greek equities. Stocks included in the GT-30 are calculated according to their market capitalization, which are weighted according to their free-floating rates.
